I am an editorial professional and I’ve been editing content for over 10 years. I’m currently an Editorial Practice Lead for Cannonball Creative, though I also serve as an editor for other organizations in a freelance capacity.
Previously, I earned my PhD in English from the University of Florida in August 2021. My primary teaching and research specializations included rhetoric and composition, media ecologies, and film studies, with a particular emphasis on literacy engagements and animation.
Additionally, I served as the Managing Editor of ImageTexT: Interdisciplinary Comics Studies journal, where I managed the journal’s multiple editorial pipelines: article submissions, book reviews, and more. More specifically, I matched accepted articles to peer reviewers in relevant scholarly fields, managed and coordinated the different branches of the journal (style editing, book reviews, and production editing), and I also oversaw the journal’s website redesign.
